My family had used Burt Insurance for years before they left the state and I have used them for 12 years now. They have always helped me whenever I have needed it, fought with insurance companies on my behalf, and did their very best to find me the most affordable and best coverage for me. I plan on sticking with them for a very long time!
Burt Insurance doesn't care about their customers, just their bottom line. Sad really. You might expect this kind of attitude somewhere else but here in Valpo? After receiving a quote from them they encouraged me not to try anywhere else because they were going to be the cheapest. Foolishly I believed them because my family had been with Burt Insurance for years. I was browsing online one day and found a quote from another company and decided to change carriers because it was about 50% less for the same coverage. When I called Burt Insurance to get a letter stating how long I had been insured by them (for almost 6 years), they refused to send it. I later found out that this refusal is illegal! Gladly my new insurance company straightened it out. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I've had my business insurance with this company for a few years now. Terry always takes care of whatever I need at a reasonable price. The guy that wrote the review bashing Burt Insurance below is full of crap. They care of business and their customers in a timely manner.
I didn't like the service there. Even though my family had been with them for years, I am very happy to have switched. Shop around online and you can beat their prices and service.
Been in business more than 59 years! Adam, I'm sorry but your "review" is pure garbage. Service is why we have kept our clients all these years. We don't always have the lowest prices either, but more than 80% of the time we write the business that we quote. I have worked here now for almost 19 years and have no memory EVER of refusing to send proof of coverage. This is a service-related business and our growth and customer feedback tells me that we do it pretty well. Much of my time is spent helping clients understand how their insurance works not trying to sell them something.
