Terrible place .... Left me with no toilet for weeks , maintenance left a huge mess and they have no common sense
apartments were pretty nice, staff was ok. Price was good.
I lived there with my fiance and the management staff needs to be fired. They didn't salt our sidewalk until I fell, they lie to your face, and stuff their faces during business hours. Totally unprofessional. When we finally got to move out they did some sort of black light test that let them charge 600 bucks for new carpeting...you better believe we didn't get new carpet upon move in. The apartment we lived in smelled like smoke--we're not smokers! They barely cleaned it upon our move in and left a huge mess in the bathroom that we cleaned....just paint dust everywhere. They didn't respond timely to anything. This place would be nice, upper management just needs to come in and clean house. Til then, I can't recommend this place to anyone.
Disgusting! Rude, lazy and unconcerned management staff. They don't fix any issues or concerns (MILDEW), doors that do not close properly or rust. If they do, it's done the easy way and they do a shoddy job.
I also thought, that, for the size and features of the apartment, it was very much on the expensive side, however, for Porter County, and "Chicagoland" it was actually one of the better priced situations.
My family and I lived at Golfview for nearly two years. I felt the management did a good job, for the most part, of keeping their end of our agreement. The Apartments were comfortable, and the room sizes were nice as well. What bothered me were all the hidden fees that seemed to creep up out of no where. When we moved in, we were under the impression that our rental amount would be one figure, but it ended up being a good deal higher. This was MY mistake in not making sure I had a firm understanding of things, but when you write your rent check, and it comes back with a letter saying it needs to be 30 dollars higher, you begin to wonder if there was something you weren't told.
