I was referred to Kent Heating and Air Conditioning by a friend of mine. I cannot begin to express how pleased I was with the level of professionalism displayed by everyone at Kent. I had gotten a quote from another company, and just called Kent to get a second opinion. They sent out Don, who has thirty years experience with heating and cooling. Don patiently went through every option, and at no time did I feel like he was treating me like an imbecile because I wasn't as experienced as he was. Don helped me obtain financing for the project, and called to follow up right before the scheduled appointment. His level of customer service is unmatched.
Beware of Mike and definitely their slime ball sales guys!
The day of the appointment I was greeted promptly at 9 a.m. by Rich and Will. Both were very professional and polite. They installed my new furnace is one day, to make sure my family was warm that night. The next day they were just as punctual, as they finished up installing my air conditioning.
Near the end of the second day I went downstairs to inform them that we were leaving to go out for lunch. They told me they would be done soon. Both personally thanked me for the business. It was something unexpected but really nice to hear.
We needed a furnace so went with a well-known name in the area...Kent. Although the cost was a bit more than the competition, we thought we were getting a better furnace and better service. They couldn't squeeze us in before the holidays, but were great about coming out on Christmas Eve to band aid what we had to hold us until Monday. We were told that there may be a smell for a couple of days as the furnace settles in...nothing to worry about. After a few days... yes, I have been smelling GAS. We called them out again, and sure enough, they didn't tighten the gas line, so we had a gas leak. I would think that a company that was installing furnaces would take the time to use a gas detecting meter to insure the safety of its customers.
In the end, I can't recommend Kent Heating and Air Conditioning enough. They will be my go to company from now on.
If I could give less than one star I would! They were extremely fast to come out but that was where my satisfaction ended unfortunately. They took no less than 5 minutes to tell me it would be 700 in parts alone not counting labor and I should just finance a new furnace at 3 grand and oh by the way you need new duct work too!
We had a new furnace installed by Daryl and Daryl from Kent Heating and they were so helpful, and professional. Don helped us decide on which furnace to choose and he was amazing to work with as well. A few weeks after installation we received a call from the owner himself asking if everything was satisfactory, and we assured him it was a great overall experience, from the initial phone call to final installation. We would DEFINITELY recommend them to all!
Kent Heating and Air installed both my furnace and air conditioning unit. They were very knowledgable about the systems and did not try to upsell anything unreasonable. Once the unit came in it was easy for me to set up the time to have them install, even when I have a very busy schedule and they had to work around me. The installers were great and did a great job on all the sheet metal fabrication for the new furnace. They also did a full replacement of the electrical wires from the junction box to the unit (small detail, big difference). The furnace is performing freat and know it is backed by the 10 year warranty on the equipment. Oh and also cool was the fact that they sent in my paperwork for my Nipsco Rebate and all I had to do was sign the dotted line and collect a check. Thank you Kent Heating and Air!
